Romantic Escapes

Wednesday, February 5th, 2014 | Inspiration

Celebrating Valentine’s Day can be more than roses and chocolate, not that we don’t love getting both, but an escape with your significant other is an experience the two of you will never forget. Get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and take time to really enjoy time with your loved one. Promise you will not regret it!

International:

Paris, France – The obvious choice when it comes to a romantic destination, and for very good reason! Enjoy a picnic at Jardin du Luxembourg, view the Eiffel Tower in the evening for a light show, and take a boat ride along the Seine. Remember to buy a padlock so you can be one of the many who have locked their love at Pont des Arts.

Adobe Guadalupe Winery

Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico – Make your way to what is dubbed as the Mexican version of the Napa Valley. Enjoy wine, fine food, and nearby beaches, and all within driving distance from San Diego! You may even run into our very own escape artist Shivani!

Domestic:

New York, New York – Take a horse-drawn carriage ride through central park, enjoy a rooftop dinner, and skate hand in hand at the Rink at Rockefeller Center. The crisp weather will make it necessary to keep close as you stroll through the magical NYC.

Savanna ©4Corners, Mar 2013

Savannah, Georgia – Home to southern charm, cobblestone streets, and amazing all American comfort food, Savannah is an amazing destination for a low key getaway. Enjoy the historic district, a meal on a riverboat cruise, and make sure you grab some ice cream at Leopold’s Ice Cream, which has been around since 1919.

If you could go anywhere for Valentine’s Day, where would you go?

  1. Oh these are all lovely getaway suggestions! At the moment due to the crazy East coast winter storms Mexico looks the most appealing.
But if I could go anywhere at all I would visit Kenya and go to Tsavo West National Park for the week!
    xx
