The crisp autumn air brings with it boots, beer, and outdoor fun. With apple season here, Oktoberfest running through October 6th, and pumpkin spice flavored everything now available, it is time to put on some boots and make a weekend out of one or all of these fun fall activities. This week we highlight apple picking and how to turn it into an enjoyable girls excursion.
Apple picking has become a great activity to make a weekend out of. What is there to do after a day of picking? Well for starters, you can feast on some amazing apple pies, sip on some wine, or spend some time with girlfriends enjoying a walk as the leaves change colors. Some of our fav apple picking spots are below.

There are many types of apples available in the the region, the variety of apples available include golden delicious, granny smith, pippen, pink lady, rome beauty, fuji, gala and mutsu.
