What’s Hot this Weekend: Glamping
Getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life by spending quality time with mother nature is a great alternative to the beach vacation. I love enjoying all of the beauty nature has to offer, but lugging around camp gear, setting it up, and sleeping on the ground does not always sound like a great way to spend a vacation. Luckily there are now camp sites which offer 5 star amenities, so you don’t have to give up showers and a bed to spend time hiking, roasting marshmallows, and sitting around the campfire.
Montana’s Paws Up resort is a must for the girl who has never really dabbled in camping but wants a full outdoor adventure. Besides the usual hiking and biking, Paws Up offers ATV tours, hot air balloon rides, and archery lessons. The resort also has award winning dining options, my fav being Chuck Wagon where you can enjoy fresh meats and veggies grilled over a campfire, all while enjoying the sunset.
Located in the Colorado Rockies, Dunton Hot Springs is perfectly situated to enjoy all the mountain range has to offer. Activities include hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, and rafting. Also, there is an onsite spa! So after a long day of outdoor activities, relax with an hour long massage. It does not get better than getting pampered.
Thailand’s Casa de La Flora, is for the modern girl. More beach house and less camping like, the full wall of windows allow guests to enjoy all Thailand has to offer in tropical nature minus all of the bugs. Exploring Khao Lak and Khao Sok National Parks on a jungle trek is a must. With all of the exotic flower, fauna, and animal species to obverse, it will be an outdoor adventure you will not forget.
Turtle Inn in Belize is surrounded by pristine white sand beaches and is in close proximity to Mayan ruins. Spend your days snorkeling, paddle boarding, and scuba diving. Spend your nights sipping on amazing Coppola wines, as Francis and Eleanor Coppola are the owners of this amazing resort.
