What’s Hot this Weekend: Harvest Season
Summer may be coming to an end, but no need to frown, because as summer turns into fall, grapes turn into wine in California. Grape harvest season is a great time to make your way to the Napa Valley. With outdoor concerts, parties, and grape stomps galore, wine tasting this weekend will be anything but typical.
Friday August 16th
This afternoon the winery to hit up is Charles Krug. Owned by Peter Mondavi, the winery is hosting Rock Napa. Rock Napa will feature gourmet food trucks, wine (duh), and a beer garden. There will also be live music playing on 2 stages. The weather will be amazing this evening, so if you can, hit Rock Napa up tonight.
Art, music, and free wine, yes please! Alternatively, if you are looking for a more relaxing evening after a long week, make your way to the Napa Valley Museum. Stravinsky’s A Soldier’s Tale will be the feature. Classical music, wine, and art, I feel fancy just thinking about it.
Saturday August 18th
Napa’s Meritage Resort will host NG:The Next Generation in Wine Harvest Party. The party will bring to you wines from 18 wineries to taste. Sometimes making your way from winery to winery can be exhausting. Meritage Resorts hosts some of the best under one roof so you can cover more ground in one sitting. There will also be food and music. Also, the hotel has an amazing underground spa. Hey, wine tasting can be exhausting.
Sunday August 19th
Round out an amazing weekend with more wine, of course, and fall fashion. Jessup Cellars will be hosting Fall Fashion Release: A Designers Market on Sunday from noon to 3 pm. Attendees can sip and shop. Pick up some new fall pieces while enjoying wine outdoors.
