What’s Hot This Weekend: Oktoberfest

Friday, October 4th, 2013 | What's Hot this Weekend

If you have not had the chance to get out and celebrate Oktoberfest yet, then you need to go out with a bang cuz this weekend marks the end. There are so many celebrations to choose from, so we will highlight some of the best the US has to offer :)

Denver, CO: Maxim Magazine and USA Today have named Denver’s Oktoberfest “The Best Oktoberfest” in the United States and “One of the country’s biggest and longest running traditions”. Besides the usual fare of German food and beer, the celebration also also holds a DasHustlehoff 5K. Nuff said, I am in!

Big Bear Lake, CA: Located two hours outside of Los Angeles, Big Bear is a great place to celebrate Oktoberfest. With an estimated over 25,000 attendees and German food, beer, and attire. This is sure to be a fun weekend, and the lake is not so bad. For more info, click here.

Boston, MA: Hosted by Harpoon’s Brewery in Boston, Harpoon’s Oktoberfest is tribute to fall, featuring a Marzen-style beer, brewed with abundant quantities of Munich, Chocolate, and Pale malts. Be sure to enter the one of the German chocolate cake-eating contests.

Get out and celebrate some German culture this weekend!
