What’s Hot this Weekend: St. Patrick’s Day
Ready to enjoy corned beef, cabbage, and wash it down with a pint of green beer? Then St. Patrick’s Day is the holiday for you. Stiletto Escape is here to provide you with info on parades, pubs, and cute outfits to celebrate in style.
Luckily there are Irish pubs located all over the US. We wanted to highlight a few worth checking out this weekend.
Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub- This establishment has more than one location. So if you are fortunate enough to be in Seattle, Portland, or San Francisco this weekend, Kells is definitely worth a visit. The Pub serves a variety of authentic Irish cuisine as well as excellent Guinness. If you are ready to celebrate any night this week, then Kells is ready to show you a good time.
McSorely’s- Established in NYC in 1854, McSorey’s has had the honor of Abe Lincoln and John Lennon as patrons, and now may have the honor of serving you a pint this weekend!
The Harp- Located in Cleveland, Ohio, The Harp is home of the Guinness ice cream sundae, ’nuff said. The Harp also has a large outdoor patio with views of Lake Erie.
Green Dragon Tavern- Boston’s Green Dragon Tavern offers patrons full lunch and dinner menus as well as cover bands Thursday-Sunday. The tavern was the meeting location for the planning of the Boston Tea party and a frequent watering hole for Paul Revere and John Hancock. Visit for the history, stay for the food and music.
A great way to start a St. Patrick’s Day celebration is to check out a local parade. Cities like San Francisco, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Boston, and New York all have amazing parades worth seeing this weekend. But if at all possible, the Dublin, Ohio parade is now a must see for me. I mean, how can that parade not be amazing? It is in Dublin after all.
Green is a must this weekend, if you want to avoid getting pinched of course. Skinny jeans are a great way to add the color to your outfit. I love this pair by The Gap, plus they have a friends and family discount going on now until Sunday. Add gold accessories and flats for a parade, then slip into some heels for the pub, and you ready for a day long celebration of St. Paddy!
Don’t have a pot of gold to spend on green clothing? Then green accessories are the way to go! Scarves, necklaces, and earrings all work. Here are a cute pair from Forever 21 that hit the art-deco trend on the nose, but don’t break the bank.
Enjoy your St. Patrick’s Day Weekend lassies!
