Need to unwind and relax? Has school or your job really taken a toll on you? Well spending some time in Hawaii is sure to recharge your battery. Your first stop should be the beach. May we suggest Lanikai in Oahu. It is the perfect place to pull up a lounge chair and curl up with a good book or watch a breath taking sunset. The white sand and picturesque setting of this small beach is known as one of the best in the world. Still feeling tense? What is more relaxing than a spa day. Head over to the Abhasa Spa at The Royal Hawaiian. The spa is in the middle of a tropical garden, allowing you to experience nature as you get a massage.

Miami Nights

Feeling like you need to dance the night away? Letting loose on the dance floor is therapy for the soul that also burns major calories, huge bonus :) So where should you go to get your groove on, none other than Miami of course. No one has hotter clubs. May we suggest LIV and Mansion. Want to try something different while on vacation? Since you are in Miami, a salsa club is a must. Make your way to Club Tipico Dominicano or Café Mystique where you are sure to sweat and gain new salsa skills before the night ends.

Dish from Mondo, New Orleans

Are you in need of a culinary awakening? Have you been munching on the same daily sandwich at lunch? Are you sooo tired after a long day that cooking is the last thing you want to do? Make your mouth happy by making your way to New Orleans. Yes, New Orleans has great bars, clubs, and access to some of the best jazz and blues musicians in the world, but it also has some of the best food as well. Some of our favs are The Three Muses, Willie Mae’s Scotch House, and Mondo. A restaurant frequented by locals worth hitting up is Dick & Jenny’s, where you can enjoy upscale Louisiana cuisine that is reasonably priced.

Want to escape the heat? If your typical summer is filled with humidity and triple digit temperatures, you may need to book a trip to San Francisco. With an over abundance of parks, museums, and tourist attractions, there is so much to do in SF. With average summer temperatures in the upper sixties to mid-seventies, the cool weather is perfect for exploring the city by foot. So hike, bike, and explore without turning into a hot sweaty mess, just make sure to pack a hoodie, it can get chilly.

Happy summer travels!

Stiletto Escape, you have done it again. My mouth is watering just thinking about the vibrant flavors of New Orleans cuisine. My inner Ben Stiller is going to breakout as soon as I hit the salsa dance floors of Miami.
Then as Tony Bennett would put it, “I left my heart in San Francisco”. San Francisco has an abundance of urban flair. Also for the foodies out there, be sure to stop by the Lucca Ravioli Co. right on Valencia. It is a little deli where authentic San Franciscan ravioli has been prepared since 1925. These fresh ravioli are send to many restaurants throughout the Bay Area and even your apartment! After a long day of shopping in the big city, these raviolis are the perfect excuse to have a girls night. Get a bottle of Napa wine, a huge box of Ghiradelli chocolate, and cook up these delicate pillows of rich flavor!
