What’s Hot this Weekend: Summer Escape
Summer is officially here! That equals bikinis, getaways, and sunshine. So if you need a break from hitting the books all year or your 9-5, Stiletto Escape has the best recos for your much needed domestic summer escape.
Need to unwind and relax? Has school or your job really taken a toll on you? Well spending some time in Hawaii is sure to recharge your battery. Your first stop should be the beach. May we suggest Lanikai in Oahu. It is the perfect place to pull up a lounge chair and curl up with a good book or watch a breath taking sunset. The white sand and picturesque setting of this small beach is known as one of the best in the world. Still feeling tense? What is more relaxing than a spa day. Head over to the Abhasa Spa at The Royal Hawaiian. The spa is in the middle of a tropical garden, allowing you to experience nature as you get a massage.
Feeling like you need to dance the night away? Letting loose on the dance floor is therapy for the soul that also burns major calories, huge bonus So where should you go to get your groove on, none other than Miami of course. No one has hotter clubs. May we suggest LIV and Mansion. Want to try something different while on vacation? Since you are in Miami, a salsa club is a must. Make your way to Club Tipico Dominicano or Café Mystique where you are sure to sweat and gain new salsa skills before the night ends.
Are you in need of a culinary awakening? Have you been munching on the same daily sandwich at lunch? Are you sooo tired after a long day that cooking is the last thing you want to do? Make your mouth happy by making your way to New Orleans. Yes, New Orleans has great bars, clubs, and access to some of the best jazz and blues musicians in the world, but it also has some of the best food as well. Some of our favs are The Three Muses, Willie Mae’s Scotch House, and Mondo. A restaurant frequented by locals worth hitting up is Dick & Jenny’s, where you can enjoy upscale Louisiana cuisine that is reasonably priced.
Want to escape the heat? If your typical summer is filled with humidity and triple digit temperatures, you may need to book a trip to San Francisco. With an over abundance of parks, museums, and tourist attractions, there is so much to do in SF. With average summer temperatures in the upper sixties to mid-seventies, the cool weather is perfect for exploring the city by foot. So hike, bike, and explore without turning into a hot sweaty mess, just make sure to pack a hoodie, it can get chilly.
Happy summer travels!
