Stiletto Escape has already brought you the best in domestic escapes, now it is time to provide recos for the top international escapes. So get you passport ready, because these destinations are sure to make you gather a group of girlfriends and get out of town.

Palawan, Philippines

For a relaxing getaway: Make your way to the island of Palawan in the Philippines. With it’s pristine beaches and high quality resorts, this island is the perfect choice if you want to get away from all of the stress everyday life has to offer. The beaches are never crowded, as this is not a vacation hot spot, well not yet, so take advantage of this little known paradise and spend time swimming, laying out, and enjoying spa services. May we suggest the Sheridan Nature Spa, services offered include a variety of massages, facials, and mani/pedis.

Petra, Jordan

For art and culture: Petra, Jordan is like a scene straight out of Indiana Jones, well actually it is. Several scenes from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade were filmed in the city of Petra. The city is an archaeologist’s dream and is a true wonder to see in person. After a long day of exploring the ancient stone city, make sure to save some time to visit the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is both beautiful and the abundance of minerals and salts make for amazing detox treatments to make your skin glow and improve your overall health.

Hiking- Bay of Kotor, Montenegro

For adventure: Montenegro is a little known vacation destination, that not only offers gorgeous beaches on the Mediterranean, but also provides the natural terrain to engage in activities like kayaking, mountain biking, scuba diving, and hiking, just to name a few. The best part of this destination is you will come home more in shape than you left!

Istanbul-Grand Bazaar

For an interesting shopping experience: Istanbul is a shopper’s dream vacay destination. The city has bazaars, malls, antique shops, and high end boutiques galore. Do not leave without hitting up the Grand Bazaar and Nisantasi. The first gives you the classic touristy shopping experience, and the latter is where the local fashionistas go to buy new duds. Shopping all day can really work up an appetite, it is cardio after all :) Luckily, Istanbul is also home to amazing food. From street food to posh restaurants like Mikla, the food will be as good as the items you picked up on your trip.

Happy travels!
