What’s Hot this Weekend: Water Play
When the summer heat hits triple digits, nothing sounds better than taking a dip to cool off. Some of the best vacation destinations are sea or lake side. So pack a bikini, sunscreen, and get ready to enjoy summer weather the best way there is, at a beautiful beach.
For a beach vacation with….
outdoor adventure, go to Crater Lake. It is located in southern Oregon and is the deepest lake in the US. It is on top of a collapsed volcano, how cool is that? And much like Lake Tahoe, the water is a crystal clear blue. Crater Lake is surrounded by a national park, making hiking, and biking also available activities to engage in. If you are really feeling adventurous, camping is also an option.
parties galore, make your way to The Hamptons. Maybe you never make your way into the water, but it does make a nice backdrop as you hit up polo matches, cocktail parties, and charity events. You can rest assured you will run into A-listers during your stay. Some of the top events this weekend alone are the Chefs & Champagne GALA at Wolffer Estate Vineyard, the 2013 Hampton Designer Showhouse, and the Rock the Dock! Benefit Gala. Just this weekend there will be fashion, food, wine, and parties! What more could a girl ask for?
water sports galore, hit up Airlie Beach in Australia. Go snorkeling, sailing, diving, or if you are feeling really adventurous, on a crocodile safari. There are many nearby islands to check out also, so boredom will def. not be an issue. Bonus, you can check out the Great Barrier Reef during your stay, a once in a lifetime experience. The surrounding area also has restaurants, bars, and shopping options available.
a relaxing vibe, go to the Maldives. The Maldives are home to white sand beaches, warm water, and spas featuring local treatments. If you go, stay at Huvafen Fushi. The resort features an underwater spa, yes I said underwater, glass floors in all of the bungalows, and numerous dining options to suit any palette.
Time to lay out ladies!
